After a client meeting I needed to drop my car off at the shop to replace a belt then walk to where I am staying. It would be 3 hours before my car was ready and I wanted to do some biking. After handing the mechanic my keys I asked, "Is that a vintage vette in the shop?" Yes indeed it was and it was in mint condition. What a beauty. A 1959 Chevrolet Corvette. SWEET.
I had to get a photo of me in front of it. (It didn't come out.) The mechanic asked if I wanted to get in the car. OH MY YES. It was the first time I had ever been behind the wheel of a 59 VETTE. Long ago when I was living on Marco Island in Florida I had friends with old vettes but none of their autos were ever restored to total mint condition. This was a true labor of LOVE.
TAKE ANOTHER PHOTO!
She replied, "None, the owner is my husband.
"Oh my," I quipped. "You are a mighty good woman." It is about 85F and really humid out there today.
The things people do for LOVE.
On that note I am hitting the PUBLISH BUTTON.
Have a LOVELY DO NEW weekend my friends. And remember that it is OK to talk to sandwiches and sometimes it is even OK to get into stranger's cars.
HAPPY NEW DOING. TAKE PHOTOS.
