TRUDGALING WITH MY MAGIC DJ

No the title is not a typo.  It is a NEW word that I just constructed.

I am letting the universe stew with/on my trip.  I figured out a tentative route and have made requests for hosts along the way.  It is time to close all the paper maps, get off GOOGLE MAPS and COUCHSURFING and get to enjoying the weekend.  LET'S CYCLE.

Cycling earlier today felt as if I had two tree trucks as legs pushing through muddy air.  Yuck.  It was hot and totally overcast keeping the air thick and sucking my pedal energy.  I was grateful that earlier I had loaded my MP3 player with NEW old music and had the setting on SHUFFLE as it was the ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND that kept my legs moving.  It didn't matter what gear my cycle was set on I was simultaneously trudging and pedaling thus the NEW word TRUDGALING.  Add that to your SCRABBLE word list.

I simply had to stop for a break as I was passing a state park entrance.  I trudgaled in and found three NEW empty (joy joy) benches in the shade.  MINE!  THE BENCHES ARE ALL MINE!  I sprawled out, used my camel-back as a pillow and chilled out with my odd eclectic music mix. I have everything from Brooks and Dunn to Gregorian Chants loaded on my player and it's always interesting to have it set on shuffle.  Many times it seems is as if I have a little magic DJ working for me selecting exactly the songs I need to fit my soul's needs and my body's rhythm.  Today was no exception. 

After awhile the clouds finally burned off and the air changed.  Refreshed I arose and got on my bike.  I switched on the MP3 player (the volume is on low while I cycle so I can hear other vehicles and the calls from my brethren of the road coming up from behind).  The song was PERFECT.  Thank you little Magic DJ.  Jorge Drexler was singing TODO SE TRANSFORMA - EVERYTHING IS TRANSFORMED.  Well the air and the energy certainly was.

WEEEE!  The ride home was high energy and happy. I was singing along out loud and shaking my B-hind from side to side. No more trudgaling.  Just happiness and light.  :0)

And that's it.  Time for snacks.  Cycling makes me hungry.  And I think I need to refuel before I head out again.
