SMILE. YOU'RE SOMEWHERE

Well here is some DO NEWS for ya'all.  I am too tired to write the DO NEWS tonight.  I will be very brief.  I have been doing a lot of driving today mostly in heavy storms with too many truck convoys and construction.  My eyes and shoulders need some rest.

My bike is not with me.  Yesterday while picking out which clothes to pack I picked up a few pairs of bike shorts and threw only one down on the bed while saying out loud "One should be enough,  Just how much cycling am I really going to do anyway?"  A couple of hours later I decided to pump up my bike's tires before putting it on the roof rack and the front tire's presta valve malfunctioned.  I could bring it and look for a repair shop during my travels or leave it behind.  I took the course of least resistance and left the bike behind.  Good plan.  Today's rain would have not been good for mi amante.

Backing up, I drove to Connecticut yesterday and stayed with a great host Chris.  We had so much to talk about.  It really was a lovely night.  Her cat was wonderful too.   He wanted to share my futon sofa.  Chris left me her keys so I could wake up slowly and lock up behind myself.  I got an early start anyway due to the rain.

When I crossed into Pennsylvania from New Jersey I stopped at the welcome center.  The woman there told me to check out Hershey (CHOCOLATE) then head to Amish country as I had some hours to spend before my hosts were available to accept me.  Lots of driving.  Lots of rain so I didn't really get out of the car.  I would like to go back to Hershey with a companion because there are some enormous roller coasters there screaming PATTTTTTTT!  A sunny day adventure for the future?

So I am fried and going to bed.  The family I am staying with tonight are already asleep.  Tomorrow begins with waffles.  Definitely worth getting up for!  I have a lovely blue room here in PA.  I shall have deep sweet dreams even though I didn't take the Hershey factory tour today.

Enjoy your NEW DOs - Happy dreamzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Oh one more thing cool - for the first time in 6 years I paralleled parked (haven't had to in Argentina as I don't drive there)  not only that I did it on a hill and I needed to use my parking brake. ;p  It took 3 tries so I would have flunked the official driving exam but I am pretty proud of myself.  It has to be at least 15 years since I had to do that on a hill and LOOK MA - NO DENTS.  Now I am officially going to sleep.
