Boy I am glad I did my running around this morning and didn't wait until late afternoon. As I type this it is mighty dark outside with the strong storm we have all been waiting for to break this heatwave. The cats are upstairs MAHing away and Sr. Benjito is whining at my side. CHICKENS. They don't like it when the angels take an afternoon of bowling in the clouds. I love it. I am getting stuff DONE!
After fueling up the car today I swung by the Salvation Army to look for some used books to take along with me to read on the farm. I found one that I actualy own and that is sitting in a memory box in my best friend's cellar (in fact she gave it to me many years ago). I opened to a page and read. Perfect.

Then came the car snacks. A few soft chocolate chip cookie packs to go with the coffee for the caffeine/sugar high combo. (I don't eat much sugar so this drug combination is very potent and can kick me into over-drive to drive. I may shake at the wheel but I am wide eyed.) And then - gotta have a crunchy - CHEEZ-ITS.
Some people might think me a bit (what's the word someone used years ago?) FLAKEY but gosh darn it I am organized. And I beg to differ on the FLAKEY label.
Excuse me for a sec.... Shhhhh Benjito, You are safe. It is just weather. Auntie is here. Go lie down.
So my box is done, my laundry is in the dryer, my host's phone numbers are coded in my cell, addresses in my GPS, I have a paper back-up of the info tucked into my car visor and a sheet of contact info copied and on my best friend's home office desk. Right - FLAKEY.
DO NEWS - Making my NEW BOX for my NEW ADVENTURE. I have more stuff to DO before tomorrow afternoon when I am due to get on the road to CT. But more importantly at this moment I don't have the heart to let the animals be so scared. I am going to sign off and cuddle them (while eating one of these soft chocolate chip cookies.) It is dark out, the angels are still bowling and the electricity kicked off the dryer. I need to go reset. (This is Sr. Benjito before the lights came back on. How can I let him suffer in fright?)
I am not sure when the next post shall appear but that is because I will be on the road meeting NEW people, seeing NEW places and doing NEW things.
HAVE FUN !
