CATS WIN

I woke up again way too early.  In Buenos Aires going to bed at 4:30 is normal (on weekends if at all) but waking up then on a Monday doesn't even fit into a goat farm morning call.  I finally managed to go back to sleep when the CATS found me.

I am house-sitting and am staying in the spare room in the finished basement off the kitchen.  So that I can hear things upstairs I keep the door ajar.  It took about fours days for the two large panther-like cats to find me in the morning.  They now know exactly where I am and that I am the one that feeds them wet food in the mornings.  They like to get up at 6:00.  OH PLEASE.  I so wanted to sleep a bit more.  My alarm was set for 7:30 as I had a client off site and with the road re-do on my direct route I was going to have to give myself more time to create my own detoured way.

I put my head under the covers knowing that it would not deter them.  The biggest panther was yelling at me MAH MAH (not meow - MAH).  The silent lover whom I call EL GUAPO (THE HANDSOME) was purring and butting the quilt where he thought my head must be.  MAH - PUSH.  I was suffocating and had to extract my head from the covers.  A long cat arm reached for my face. I got a strong pat to the face, then another, then El Guapo mi Amante started to kiss my lips.  DON'T DO THAT PLEASE.  So how about a loving nip to the nose?

I knew I could not win.  I was up out of bed and up the stairs.  They live for the can of Fancy Feast split into two bowls, one for each.  I served them.  I went back down into my hole to try to get another hour of sleep and maybe a bit of meditation time to set my day. MAH MAH MAH. They came back down to torment me.  The first time they ever have done that.  We want to purr loud and mah at you.  We need your LOVE.  You would think I was wearing ODE DE CATNIP.  No, it's that even though one has thumbs I am the human with the active opposing digit that can pull the tab of maybe another can of Fancy Feast.

So today I was sleep deprived and a bit off center.  Before I left the house I put my hair up and my ponytail was cocked to one side.  I just pinned it up into a slightly off-sided bun.  I wondered if anyone would say anything or look at me strange today.  NOPE.

What a dumb DO NEW.  I guess I need to make my hairstyle a bit more of an off center statement next time.  It might match my personality.

Happy DO NEW Monday.  I will note that getting up this early does help me get a lot of stuff done.  I have not stopped yet.
