I ended up with a little extra time this morning and found myself driving a not usual route through a nearby town. I saw a dancewear shop and decided to pop in. Lately Paty Payasa and VaVaBallOoN -The Sexiest Balloon Twister in the World have been wanting to come out and play. (I twist balloons. It makes people happy. I started 10 years ago when I worked in the jungles of Peru. Sometimes I just do the clown thing to make others smile. People need to lighten up.) All my wigs and costumes are in storage in Buenos Aires. I have been thinking a lot lately of creating a new PATriotic character. Two days before Independence Day is a good day to be open for costuming accessories. I went into the dance store and my bargain shopper mind was blown. Two racks were reduced to $5.00. Capezio leotards, cat suits, dance skirts and more. High quality items for only five dollars each. Dancewear is EXPENSIVE. I grabbed two tank leotards off the rack immediately and told her I would be back to try on EVERYTHING in my size. As much as I am watching my budget this is too good of an opportunity to pass up. My tango friends would be all over this shop.
After that NEW shop I swung by AAA and got more stuff - all free. They are so nice there. It was my first time picking their congenial brains. I am still in planning mode but I want to get out of that mode soon and start firming up routes, housing and ride shares. AAA has maps of all 50 states! And books. And they trip tic you. I am not near trip tic time but it is coming.
Those and a few more stops yielded me more and the potential for more. If no one invites me to a BBQ for the 4th of July I know where I will be part of the day, looking for costuming finds at the 50% off sale at Salvation Army. I don't have my sewing machines anymore so I won't be creating from scratch this time.
That's it. I have other stuff to DO. Hasta luego mis amigos.
